‘I’m going to be expelled!’ Ginny wept, as Harry helped her awkwardly to her feet. ‘I’ve looked forward to coming to Hogwarts ever since B-Bill came and n-now I’ll have to leave and – w-what’ll Mum and Dad say?’

This comment seems slightly strange once you calculate that Ginny was barely a year old when Bill left for Hogwarts. I guess she was a precocious baby?

    Charlie was two years younger than Bill, so there’s a corresponding gap between their starting dates at Hogwarts. It’s not a stretch to imagine a nearly three-year-old Ginny being enamored with her oldest brother’s stories from school, especially in the summer break before Charlie would leave for his first term. I think this gap makes the statement make sense.
