    Now that’s a franken-gun! What I can tell/best guesses:

    • Remington Model 11 receiver turned upside down.
    • Custom ammo tube extension. Seems to be custom built for this gun, especially with the front sight added to it. I’m pretty sure it’s not a commercial purpose-built component for the Model 11.
    • That grip comes from an MG 42 or MG 3.
    • That looks an awful lot like an older Galil folding stock (not quite sure though).
    • My best guess is, that the lower handguard is original Model 11, just relocated/modified.
    • The upper handguard does not seem to be liberated from any gun, but purpose-kludged for this franken-gun.
    • No idea where the front and rear sight come from (not from a Model 11). The front sight with its protector wings looks awfully reminiscent of … I can’t put my finger on it. I know I’ve seen it before …

That gun, if it works, looks like a lot of fun.

I think it might actually work. It’s definitely confusing at first but I don’t see any reason you couldn’t modify these parts like this to create a top tubed semiautomatic shotgun. There’s also not much (or any?) on the market in that category, so that’d explain the why part.
