Well this comic from about 1990. Though I really think the joke was in the absurdity of it. That tofu gazelles exists and that obligate carnivores didn’t notice until they had already killed it and were eating it.
This was my mom’s favorite far side and she was an avid tofu eater. Not that really means anything.
