I’ve been trying to find a bog standard music player for Apple Watch, something that just plays my own music during workouts from playlists, outside of the streaming services. So far I haven’t found one.
Is this because
- A) I missed one that exists?
- B) Nobody else wants one, or
- C) For some reason making one is impossible or at least very very hard
To me it seems like eg the Overcast app is proof that an mp3 player would also be possible, so my guess is it’s B).
Marco has put so much work into the Overcast watchOS app, yet it’s still flakey at times. I don’t think there’s anyone else that can be bothered dealing with all the hassle!
