Hey, just wondering if there’s a way to change the default Lemmy instance the app uses.

        yeah what’s your intent here?

if you want to see content on other instances, just use your lemmy.ml and switch to “all”.

If you don’t like specific communities, you can block them regardless of where your main account is.

Exactly. I think it would be useful to be able to switch that default instance (the instance when you’re logged out), but that isn’t currently a thing.

Yes, you’d have to block communities on lemmy.ml if you don’twant to see feeds or content from them.

There will likely eventually be a way to migrate your account just like mastodon, however kbin is a different platform altogether and you would need a new account there.

you have to register in the website of the instance you want to use, then search it in the drop down menu (if you can’t find it just type the domain name example: “lemme.ee”) and insert your credentials

I’m sure there are a lot of “previous state” saves it’s missing to make a better experience. I always have to reset to Subscribe: New Comments for the best experience.

So can I log into Jerboa with my kbin.social account or not?
Edit: Turns out I can’t. Jerboa seems pretty useless to me if I can’t filter out the unwanted instances.
