For some reason, Samsung is also behind competitor, like Oppo, on making the crease disappear. It’s still very noticable on the Flip 5 and Fold 5. I’ll hold off to see how that plays out.

Nobody in their right mind wants a Flip. You can’t even use the damn thing without unfolding it.

You mean the Fold. The Fold is still usable when folded.

What’s wrong with just having two screens? If properly engineered, the seam in the middle would be extremely thin and barely noticeable.

I don’t think anyone has actually made a good one with multiple primary screens, neither the Surface Duo or the weird phone ZTE made were any good.

I’ve seen these folding phones before, and they have a hugely noticeable crease in the middle. You might as well accept a narrow gap instead.

They like to make decisions for you, like dedicating a button to their voice assistant that I have no interest in using and doing their best to prevent rooting of the device. Apparently some of their devices even have ads, though this might be more limited to their TVs (I’m on a former flagship which they might have left that stuff off of, so it might affect the lower end phones, too). Apps that I don’t need that I can’t remove (including the Facebook app on the last one I had).

You can configure the bixby button to do other things now, like activate camera or flashlight. The s23 series doesn’t even have a dedicated bixby button. But I agree samsung phones are extremely bloated.

Hmm last time I tried, one of the button options had to be bixby. But that was a while ago, thanks for the info.
