Good morning, fellow sobernauts, IWNDWYT 😁!

We may be anonymous strangers on the internet, but we have one thing in common. We may be a world apart, but we’re here together!

Welcome to the 24 hour pledge! I’m pledging myself to not drinking today, and invite you to do the same.

Maybe you’re new to c/stop drinking and have a hard time deciding what to do next. Maybe you’re like me and feel you need a daily commitment or maybe you’ve been sober for a long time and want to inspire others.

It doesn’t matter if you’re still hung over from a three day bender or been sober for years, if you just woke up or have already completed a sober day. For the next 24 hours, let’s not drink alcohol!

Woo! Yay Tuesday? So I had a 6 month follow up with my primary care doctor yesterday and reminded him my two year soberversary is coming up (July). I got a fist bump and he commented on how different I am since I became a patient 4 years ago. “You’re still high strung, but you are NORMAL now”. (He meant it in a good way. 😁)

Congratulations, I hope I can make it to 2 years some day. The most I’ve gone is 9 months since I started like 20 years ago. I feel really good about this time and effort, things aren’t the same as the last times I’ve tried to quit, but we’ll see… One day at a time!

9 months is incredible. The amount of healing and progress your body can make in that time is amazing. 9 months is a big time stretch goal for me. I think I got like 3 one time. I keep telling myself you can’t fail if you don’t quit. I’m hoping to make more progress and things feel a bit different and better this time here as well.

Me too, on both accounts. It seems like I’ve got so much to catch up on that I neglected while drinking and the weekend is the only time I can make real progress.

For reals, and then I’m so tired from the work week I just want to relax and not be productive. Much easier to fight that sober tho for sure.

Not drinking today. Such a looong day; I’m looking forward to some chilling and knitting in the evening.
