Chipotle says it has not changed its portion sizes despite recent complaints about smaller meals from customers.

It could be the franchise owners getting squeezed like they did with Quiznos. If you have to buy Chipotle ingredients from Chipotle, and they’ve raise d the prices of those ingredients, but you’re not allowed to raise customer prices — it could result in smaller portions without a directive coming from corporate.

How can they even say that? The new quesadilla is literally designed to have less surface area filled with meat / cheese. It also costs double. I’m still mad, and have for the most part stopped going. The OG quesadilla was a banger.

No, you see, portion sizes are the same! It’s just that we now sell only 7/10ths of a portion per item.

It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grammes a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be REDUCED to twenty grammes a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.

I’ve been to Chipotle while on visit to the US. The portions should definitely be smaller anyway.

Yea, from what I remember when I lived there (granted, this was two decades ago) the portions were enormous and could definitely be a lot smaller. Not to mention the size of the soda cups (soda buckets would be more accurate).
