They proved the concept for idle phone games!
I had a pocket pikachu, you fed pikachu by walking, which is a cool concept. If I could feed myself by walking, I’d become a backpacker like tomorrow.
So Bluetooth? Wonder if they’re connecting to your wifi and sending sellable data. How else would these pencil out as good as the nostalgia is?
So you think they’ve added Bluetooth to them that connects to your phone and scrapes your data? That’s some paranoid shit
Everything from fridges and washing machines have been found to do this.
It’s the reality of a market where manufacturers are seeking additional revenue and consumers have either no knowledge or no choice.
These things just have infrared, they’re super simple little things
