Very often and almost always once a currency switch to being fiat currency like then the entities guaranteeing it ends up printing mass amounts to finance their hopes and dreams. This eventually leads to a currency collapse and societal issues. The real interesting times will be when people value these currency so little that they will massively ressort to alternative to them (think crypto or gold coins).
