@retrocomputing Got bored so spent an our & got my #ThinkPad X32 back working with Debian 12 took a while to build all the packages in #emacs just with 1 core

First time I built a linux kernel (~1994) was on a hand-me-down 386-16. Took about 12 hours. IIRC I think it had 2MB of RAM in it. :-)
