A while ago some Google employee claimed chatbots have feelings. Just because someone works at some place, doesn’t mean they’re all there.
Moreover, while I think it would be quite entertaining to see the world lose its shit over the existence of aliens, I always found it funny how US-centric the whole thing is.
Why aren’t the UFOs focusing on some random spot on the planet? Or in Mexico, or the Easter Island? A map of sightings shows it’s mostly in the US and along its coasts. It seems more like what happened with the “spy balloon”. It’s stuff from other countries and for espionage.
An alien species would have no knowledge of our countries, geopolitics, and whatnot. It makes zero sense for them to pick the US over anyone else, or any country at all.
