I got a big box of rusty dies and die holders for 15$ and decided to restore them, and they came out beautiful

what they looked like before, sorry forgot to take a close up but they were ultra rusty.

How did i restore them? 1.wire wheeled most of dirt and rust chunks 2.put parts in white vinegar 15% acidity left for 48 hours 3.wipe off rust with paper towel 4. IMPORTANT!! remove black coating left behind by the vinegar, if not it will flash rust 5.wire wheel to remove black finish. 6.reassemble make sure to apply lubricant in threading and moving parts

    Nice work, I like seeing old tools because you run into some unique tools that just don’t have the same design as what’s available now. Do you also build mechanical keyboards? I see something in the background, have you posted to a keyboard related community somewhere by chance?

      Its not custom but I have considered building my own keyboard its a aukkey kmg12. With a set of keycaps

        Nice, whatever works for you, like all things mechanical, it can get expensive.
