European languages generally do well Asian languages generally struggle Middle Eastern languages, well, things don’t translate well on paper Conversely, I found the middle Eastern students to have excellent speaking abilities. The difference in how the mind processes speaking vs writing was truly fascinating to me.
Non native speakers usually write better than native speakers.
As a long time teacher of ESL back in the day, I’d say that depends heavily on the native language.
