Closing legal crossings will almost certainly increase illegal ones…

So he’s continuing trump’s border policy, he’s continuing and expanding upon trump’s trade war with china, and he’s a full supporter of israel just like trump. Why is he like this?

He’s not a loudmouth liar, but he’s pretty much in the same deep pockets as Trump. Changing our FPTP voting system is vital to getting rid of this two party system.

No party is going to ever push for a change to the status quo that empowers them. If you want to see that change, it won’t come from the polls.

Because he’s old. Any other country, he’d be a conservative, but the Overton window in the US is so fucked, we have to choose between a conservative and a fascist.

I agree that he’s a conservative, but I don’t think it’s down to age. Bernie Sanders is one year older and is not like that.

Bernie Sanders has always been ahead of the cultural curve. It’s the difference between “knowing” progress and “understanding” progress. Sanders understands what equality means. Biden just says things that are popular at the time. While Sanders was getting arrested for protesting for equal rights, Biden was attending the same types of parties as Trump.

disclaimer: I AM NOT IMPLING THAT TRUMP AND BIDEN ARE THE SAME. Vote for Biden if for no other reason that we already know Trump would be far worse. Just saying that when you line up the three, it’s harder to spot the differences between Trump and Biden.

Title 42 was monstrous. Forcibly separating parents from children, then deporting parents while detaining children in facilities where they were physically and sexually abused, had nations around the world calling for an end to our atrocities.

That also came with the Executive Order that outright banned any immigration of Muslim or “suspected Muslim” people.

It’s also awfully hypocritical of you to denounce support for Israel for committing genocide, while criticizing the withdrawal of support for China, who is also committing genocide.

Climate displacement is coming. What’s the policy when it does?

Have we thought through how that would work?

        It’s what I’ve expected for years… A wall?

Just not based on racial animus… based on protecting the ability of citizens to not become overwhelmed with displaced people.
