I know this is probably fake, but, I’ve heard way too many horror stories about hr like this.

HR is there to protect the company from you. When you’re being harassed at work, during work hours, talking to HR is basically saying “I know I can turn this into a legal thing, but I’ll give you a chance to correct it before I do that”.

If HR laughs at you about a complaint, your next steps are to collect evidence and hire a lawyer.

Sue the shit out of them.

Get the evidence before going to HR because there’s more than a small chance they are going to laugh while escorting you out if the building.

I don’t think that’s legal to do, however, having the evidence before hand is a good idea regardless of the likelihood of being dismissed for making the complaint.

Evidence is always something you should have.

For sure and for me, i think the best way to think of it is if there was a department called “computer resource department.” No ones is going to convince themselves that its there for the benefit of the computers, as its clearly there to get as much profitability out of them as possible.

How do you even collect evidence of something that happened momentarily?
