Its a setting made by Monte Cook and his team. Earth, 1 Billion years in the future. Once home to eight great intergalactic and interdimensional empires, you live in the Ninth World; the post-post apocalyptic ruins and wilds being your inheritance. Character creation is pretty fun and open to represent the possibilities inherent to such a setting, octopi and mutants being base game player options.

Experience is gained through exploration and development instead of fighting. Your ‘magic items’ are the reused, scavenged, malfunctioning, or just plain incorrectly used pieces of technology from yesteryears. Find a luxury dehumidifier in an ancient alien prince’s pleasure manor? Now it can be used as a dessication detonation. What sets it apart from dnd magic items is how often you’ll be getting them, and their volatility. Keeping warform memetic gel, teleporters tuned to blackhole hearts, and consciousness crystals in your backpack might lead to negative combinations…

My players are helping to run and protect a wilderness outpost run by the Aeon Priests of The Order Of Truth (ancestor worshipping scientists) that has had constant bad luck, and helping their mercenary friend, the automaton Radius, regain the memories of his mysterious brothers.

Offers the same if you wanna play

So do I, I’m just worried I’m not doing the setting justice.

What adventure are you running, or is it your own?

Custom built. Right now we’re running around the Nebalich area. Before that we were investigating a million-year-old tree in Ephremon infused with nanobots and the nefarious religious leader who sprung a cult up around it.
