I love the game TF2 and I would appreciate if yall would take a few minutes to sign on and get Valve to listen. save.tf
I wish their FAQs would answer how they expect to change Valve’s mind with a list of emails… If everyone who signed that petition just played a different game then one of two things would happen.
a) Valve realizes that for the first time in twenty years their game is not earning them thousands of dollars and takes care of their issues
b) more likely, Valve continues what they’re doing, but you get to play a game you enjoy without bots
Valve will not budge. The choice was made and final:
so kill tf2 for half life 1? or are you talking about half life deathmatch?
This was back when HL Alyx was announced. TF2 was forsaken long ago. Employees at Valve basically need to choose to work on a project, and TF2 has been lucky to have any employees working on it full-time over the past decade. The culture is driven by whatever the most influential employees think is cool at the moment. It’s why they were focused heavily on VR for a while, only to switch heavily to the steam deck and leave most of their VR stuff in limbo.
Valve is a strange company with a company culture that strives to be anarchistic and employee led. My understanding is that Gabe Newell and other senior executives with majority stake in the company believe in this strategy and try to maintain it as much as possible. This flat organization isn’t truly anarchistic, as the ownership is practically in the hands of a few executives and informal hierarchy exists. However, they can be hands off thanks to Steam. So long as the cash cow is maintained, delivering products isn’t an issue.
Some blame the flat organization for Valve’s inadequacies. They barely release products, poorly support many existing products, and take a long time to ever release anything. However, I personally think the flat organization isn’t the source of the problem. They’re more willing to change than Rockstar and Bethesda, who struck gold in GTA Online and Skyrim, only for their releases to slow to a crawl and not innovate from what worked in the early 2010s. Google doesn’t need flat organization to bungle services and drop support, leaving customers in the lurch. The money printer itself kills innovation.
They may have abandoned TF2 to rot, but I think other companies would have done the same or worse. An old game that still makes money through cosmetics might get butchered harder by a more focused company. The only way things could be better would be if there were no cosmetics and the only support was from fans. The fact that money is still made leaves it in limbo.
Oh also deadlock just got IP registered.
Uncle Dane had a friend leak a screenshot from testing.
It’s TF2 crossed with Dota2 in third person FPS team fun.
As long as it does better than that horrible card game they released Valve will pivot to that for a decade.
No, Half-life: Source 2
I’m gonna approve the post since it’s been 5 days since the last Save TF2 post, but let’s not let it get to the point of spam. I’m anticipating a lot more of these as we get closer to June 3rd haha.
Just switch to Fortnite like the rest of us.
The little goblin in my brain is so pissed off and I’m struggling to explain to him that SatansMaggotyCumFart was probably being facetious.
Doesn’t work on Linux
Windows is better anyways.
Bold thing to say on 196
I’m bold but not smart.

Just email Robin Walker directly. Their emails are on the company directory page and damn near every single employee is happy to respond to legit concerns and questions in my experience. Even Gabe and Doug.
