American Senator Bernie Sanders has condemned both political parties for inviting Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, who has been indicted by the ICC for war crimes in Gaza, to address a joint meeting of the United States Congress. Sanders declared that he will not attend the event.

I don’t think an indictment or arrest warrant has actually been issued against Netanyahu at this time. On May 20 a prosecutor filed an application an application to issue such an indictment, but this application has neither been accepted nor denied.
Fortunately, we don’t need it to be accepted to know that the democrats should feel ashamed for doing this. I don’t expect the republicans have that capacity.
