Interesting story (I think) on how I discovered this drink…

My then-goto drink was a doppio extra dry cappuccino, and I happily paid the $3.50-$4.50 at most shoppes for that sweet nectar.

More than a decade ago, I was on a business trip, and had to get my go-to, as I was dragging after the 12ish hour flight from corporate back home. While waiting for the connection flight, I went to the terminal coffee shop (not a sbux, thankfully), and asked for my regular. The barista said (and I kid you not), “I am not making you that.” I just stared, shocked, getting angry, ready to rumble, when I thought “this is her job, she knows what she’s doing, ask her.” So I asked her why she refuses to make that for me. She told me that she’s going to make me a traditional macchiato instead. I asked her what the differences would be between the two drinks, preparing for an adjustment. “About $2” she responds, “other than that, they’re the same.” I tipped her 100%, as she has saved me an unreal amount of money since then. She deserved that 100% and then some!
