He didn’t. Harry Shearer does the voice and he quickly found it to be overly taxing (on his throat) so he retired the character.
He shows up briefly in season 15 and just says that he has been sick.
There was Marvin Monroe Memorial Hospital which was in Who Shot Mr. Burns Part 2. However, it was a blink and you miss it gag, with none of the characters pointing out the name.
