I definitely see some sort of revolution happening in my lifetime (I’m 34). I don’t think it will be a civil war though.

Look up the definition of banana republic. But you should know that well. You are living it.

    Good luck mate

Then you clearly know it doesn’t fit.

It’s true that US doesn’t export much of anything nowadays, but it’s certainly is a politically and economically unstable country.

Let me do your homework for you. This will be the ONLY time I will do this.

“The term banana republic describes a struggling country whose economy depends on exporting natural resources — particularly agriculture, hence the banana — to larger, wealthier nations. These countries are politically unstable, making them susceptible to worker exploitation, government corruption, and foreign control. While banana republic used to be a commonplace term in political science, it’s considered derogatory today.”

It does not fit. Curb your hate. It is inaccurate emotional propaganda.

At this point, I’m convinced that US imploding internally would be the best thing for the rest of the world. The alternative is looking more and more like a world war. Collapse of the empire would also be the final nail in the coffin of global capitalism meaning that we’ll actually have a path towards addressing climate change.

The report of the US demise is greatly exaggerated.

The US collapsing would help but we do have to contend with oligarchical Russia and State Capitalist China.

We have to take down authoritarian systems everywhere.

I’ll suggest that people should focus on fixing their own countries. This idea that over a billion people in China need to be told how to live is chauvinist in the extreme.

Vote right to go left? o.O

But in all seriousness, yeah, if they get internally fucked up and have to deal with that they will have less time deal with external conflicts and will lose power in international politics, which is a breath of fresh air.
