The outspoken Trump ally was convicted two years ago of contempt of Congress for refusing to comply with a subpoena from the House Jan. 6 committee. He faces a four-month sentence.
Aside from the order to report to prison, this is definitely my favorite part:
Judge Nichols’s decision seemed to catch Mr. Bannon’s lawyer, David Schoen, by surprise, and he approached the podium after it was issued and started arguing with the judge.
Judge Nichols dressed him down. “One thing I think you need to learn as a lawyer is that when a judge has decided, you do not get up and yell at them,” the judge shot back.
Aside from the order to report to prison, this is definitely my favorite part:
Bannon needs to excuse his behavior by explaining that the amount of cocaine he uses tends to give him some false confidence.
I am staunchly against cocaine. Not because I think drugs are bad, but because people on cocaine are really, really annoying. lol
So true. And in the case of his, Roger Stone’s, Gulliani’s, etc., annoying and they want to destroy our democracy.
