Personally I don’t mind it as much as other people but it just feels kinda cheap. The beep makes me think of a microwave or a dishwasher, not a gaming console.
I think I may be one of the few PS5 owners that enjoys that sound. :(

:) Good point but as a guy that likes the sound his laundry machine makes when it starts and stops, I can’t really say I’m a good example.
