Both of those were original stories. TWD built off the universe, but was completely different from anything else put out with that name at the time. If they want to recapture what they had, they need some originality.
I didn’t think there was anything “generic” about it. It was a pretty unique story and setting IMO. But regardless, my question was simply whether or not it was an original Telltale creation, which it wasn’t. It was based on a graphic novel called Fables, though the game was apparently a prequel to the comic.
