I’d like to start a series seeking viewpoints from across the political spectrum in general discussions about modern society and where everyone stands on what is not working, what is working, and where we see things going in the future.

Please answer in good-faith and if you don’t consider yourself conservative or “to the right”, please reserve top-level discussion for those folks so it reaches the “right” folks haha.

Please don’t downvote respectful content that is merely contrary to your political sensibillities, lets have actual discourse and learn more about each other and our respective viewpoints.

Will be doing other sides soon but lets start with this and see where it takes us.

No, answer the question. Do you still commit domestic violence? Questions can’t be wrong… apparently. There’s no possible way you expressed bigotry through the medium of analogy. So tell me if you still hit your wife.

Thats a loaded question. Is “is it okay to be bigoted against nazis?” a loaded question?

Yes, calling opposition to Nazis bigotry is a loaded question. It’s a contradiction in terms. Welcome to six hours ago.

And the painfully obvious thrust of that question is that you’re trying to justify bigotry against Muslims.

And again I ask you - how do you feel about all of the fucking Christians who are already here, doing Nazi shit?

Oh if you cant be bigoted against nazis, then im not bigoted against people who condone rape. Remember not all muslims believe that, just some from a certain culture.

              Being against rape isn’t bigotry.

Being against Muslims because you assume they love rape is.

Judging people because of presumed beliefs, based on where they’re from or what religion they are, is what prejudice is. It’s not fucking complicated. You’re just grasping for excuses to treat other people as lesser human beings.

And again I ask you - how about all the specific Christians who demonstrably want ten-year old rape victims to give birth? I’d bet anything your broad brush doesn’t extend to that whole “culture.”

Sharia explicitly blames rape on the victim. Heres a ten second google search on how many support sharia.

                https://www.pewresearch.org/religion/2013/04/30/the-worlds-muslims-religion-politics-society-beliefs-about-sharia/

“In South Asia, high percentages in all the countries surveyed support making sharia the official law, including nearly universal support among Muslims in Afghanistan (99%). More than eight-in-ten Muslims in Pakistan (84%) and Bangladesh (82%) also hold this view. The percentage of Muslims who say they favor making Islamic law the official law in their country is nearly as high across the Southeast Asian countries surveyed (86% in Malaysia, 77% in Thailand and 72% in Indonesia).”

Assuming all Muslim immigrants want Sharia law is bigotry.

And I will ask you again - how about the specific Christians pushing anti-queer legislation, here and now, to-day? Do you speak English? Do you know what the question means? Can you figure out how this might relate to your naked prejudice against a a billion people?

Can you name specific anti-queer legislation that is actually discriminating? Nothing that wouldnt be applied equally to everyone, specific to queer people.
