You will go into $50k debt (+$119.99/month for heated seats) (to dealers, mind you - it is illegal for auto manufacturers to sell straight to consumers, you know?) to save the planet and you’ll say “thank you” for the opportunity. That’s all you really need to know. Afforable, consumer-friendly EVs will never exist in the US for as long as major political campaigns are decided by the workforce of Ford, GM, and Stellantis.
