Joel Schumacher should not have been trusted with final edit. But god damn was he on some cool expressionist shit. Dude filmed a garish 90s comic book, with all the logic of a cartoon, starring larger-than-life actors, twice. And hoo boy did it not work. Utterly fell apart in the details. But at no point was it boring. It was batshit crazy from beginning to end.
