My vote is going straight to Eric Taylor from the deeply underappreciated Friday Night Lights. He’ll give you a shoulder to cry on, he’ll kick your ass (metaphorically) if you need it but no matter what, he’ll always be there for you.

Agree, but he does have a few bad moments (double bingo, obstacle course) But makes it more relatable.
I truly believe this. I actually quite often try and take a moment when I feel tired or annoyed with the kids and try and remind myself to Be More Bandit. An absolute joy of a show.
