      Mexican fans will pay to see a Mexican driver in a possibly race winning car.

      Once Perez is gone there will be a huge drop in the popularity of F1 in Mexico. It’s part of why RBR still hasn’t dropped him. The marketing advantage of him in Mexico and Latin America is such a huge sales driver that they don’t want to give that up.

        I didn’t actually check it, but they might have considered the Vegas GP as an outlier when calculating the average

          I was being a dick. I was taking issue with their use of ‘average’ to mean mean so my values are the median and mode respectively.
