NYT is spouting every headline they can imagine to shift votes toward Trump, and not just lately. Their entire editorial focus is to cast confusion on Democrats’ prospects. They should be recognized as firmly partisan and no longer serving a journalistic purpose. Unfortunate, but that’s the times in which we live.

What a joke. She has less than zero chance. No charisma. Her initial campaign struggled to raise money. She had to drop out before the primary in her own state. Black voters in her state largely viewed her as a narc. Her approval polling is consistently terrible… She has similar approval ratings as colorectal cancer.

When looking at 2020 candidates, she was literally my least favorite, and Biden wasn’t far behind her.

My ass. Kamala Harris has been dead weight for the past four years and couldn’t do shit against Trump. She shouldn’t even be in the VP slot.

While I am concerned with Biden’s performance, but a debate really has little to do with his actual job, so I’m not real worried about his performance. That said, it prolly wouldn’t be a bad idea to get her more involved, let her flex her skills in front of voters and such, that way if he does need to step down before or after the election, the voters know his replacement already, and what she can do.

Yup, that would be how I’d play it. But she kinda sucks on policy, so maybe it would hurt instead.

I’m not real sure how she is on policies, I rarely see anything about her in the news, but even if she’s not great now, the bigger question is can she learn, and this would be a good proving ground for that.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

Didn’t Harris flame out in the last Democratic presidential primary, leaving just in time to avoid an embarrassing loss in her home state, California?

But to win a primary you must thread the needle of introducing yourself to the base of the party while burnishing the case for your ideas and dissing the talents of your rivals, all while keeping your options open, because your opponents are also your future surrogates and allies.

She can use her true superpower: She will be a relentless prosecutor of the very clear political case against Donald John Trump, a felon, a man found liable for sexual abuse, an inveterate liar, a demagogue, a threat to our democracy and to our Constitution.

Unlike Trump’s previous female debate rival, Hillary Clinton, nary a whiff of scandal has besmirched Harris.

As a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee during the first Trump administration she drew blood with her tough, calm and deliberate questions, managing to score viral moments without seeming like a theatrical showboater.

It would have been satisfying to watch her face off against Trump on Thursday, not just for progressives but also for suburban women who wanted to see a full-throated fight for their reproductive rights, an issue on which Harris has been especially — and passionately — outspoken and Biden, a devout Catholic, has been more muted.

The original article contains 1,160 words, the summary contains 224 words. Saved 81%. I’m a bot and I’m open source!

As I understand it, Kamala is Walmart knockoff Hillary Clinton, right?

You’re not gonna get the far-left vote with that.

Biden got 87% vote in the primaries just 6 months ago. The second place was Jason Palmer. Remember that guy?

Perhaps it should just be conceded that Democrats are dead right now and they will have the next 4 years to figure themselves out.
