Fun fact to attach to the one I learned the other day about Steve Dallas’ inspiration:

Breathed assumes the guy was “shot by an annoyed girlfriend” which has “saved him on legal fees”.

Makes me wonder just how thin the veneer is, while still working amazingly well in the framework of the comic.
