If they’re early talks, obviously they don’t have plans yet.
Also, it sounded like the deal was Rivian licensed their tech to VW. For VW to then use in their own cars.
So yeah no surprise Rivian is not planning to coordinate further. The deal was VW buying the rights to catch up to where Rivian already is.
