I disagree as every bit counts
Well try not to spill them.
It depends on what youre doing. If youre enjoying life, then it can be worth it. If youre not, its not.
I just flew from Australia to Europe to see family. I do it every few years. It costs 24 hours of travel each way. Not to mention lost days due to jet lag. Sure, I’m alive in a flying box watching downloaded movies while willing myself to sleep. But its not living. However, the lost time is worth it to see family and experience different cultures.
Who has the better life? The life lived, or the life prolonged?
That’s honestly way less that I would have expected.
And probably well within the margin of error. It could be correlated to any other habit people who drink every day may also be more likely to have.
Yeah, not that bad really. I would guess from the headline here that you’d only knock off a year having 6 - 12 drinks a day. That’s not that bad either. Taking off any more than 5 years seems like it would be problematic, though, as upwards of 60 drinks a day can start to get expensive.
I’m pretty sure that’s not the regression you want to use to extrapolate.

Yeah well no drinks makes me want to make life shorter then that.
Who’s even counting months at that point?
Sold.
Sure, but it’s only the worst couple of months
Out of curiosity, given how notoriously difficult it is to conduct these kinds of studies, what sort of margin of error does it have?
4 months
