I’m glad Yamato has friends in high places.

Seems like this has to be the end of Egghead? I think it’ll read a lot better as a finished arc, right now it’s definitely a drag. Hopefully the robots final move is worth all of this buildup.

I agree about completed vs ongoing arc.

If I could blast through the ten chapters in a volume it would be much better paced haha

I’m glad I’m not alone in feeling this.

I just started reading One Piece last year, so Egghead is the first arc I’ve had to experience weekly, and it feels painfully slow as the chapters move so quickly, but I have to wait a week or more to get the next piece.

The Vegapunk speech also feels like something that should be heard all at once to have full impact as well.

I’m definitely doing a reread once it is finished!

When I started the anime after I read up to Saboady. My gf watched it with me, and she’s usually done with something by the standard 24 eps for a season.

She watched straight through and was enjoying it, with a bit of boredom with Killer Barc and the Foxy arc. When we got 1/4 through Dressrosa, I noticed she was on her phone during all the episodes, and after a while even I started to check out. We were both glad when it was finally over.

I didn’t remember it being that bad, but reading it all at once after it was already complete, I could go at my own pace, so I imagine that was a big help.

We’ve given the anime a break, which has allowed us to catch up on Ancient Magus Bride and now we’re halfway through Frieren.
