I strained myself a few years ago, and converted to a 15 year in 2021 at 2.375. I’m stuck, and appalled that my 15 yr mortgage + escrow costs less than what my 2BR apartment goes for now… Less than decade later.
And to be clear… Let the market burn. I don’t care about my home value, I care that my home and others homes are affordable.
Honestly I can’t wait for the housing market to crash. Mine is paid off, and sooooooo many people need homes.

The average house price shouldn’t be $600k+ when minimum wage is still $8 or whatever it is.
