    Why would this be the US’s concern? Like I understand why you’d not want a corrupt neighboring government, but if said government also isn’t interested in becoming less corrupt, then yeah running an investigation and report on their behalf would be a waste of time. If it was for the benefit of Congress, it would make sense, but it doesn’t look like it was.

      This isn’t even about the candidate who was just elected. This is about the outgoing president.
