I mean as much as I really hate the “it’s just been a small new project” excuse it is true. I wouldn’t say “Lemmy doesn’t care” as much as it’s not super mature. Now I could be wrong and the creators could go off the deep end. I’m also not saying these privacy concerns aren’t necessarily valid. I think that it’s reasonable to not want to use Lemmy because of these, I just don’t think it’s inherently malicious.
That’s just the Internet as a whole, innit?
Reddit was the same way, just now the operators are community members instead of corporations. Am I missing something? I don’t get the fear of this if it was okay when reddit did it.
