A little more ominous than my happy island diorama, but I like variety. With dioramas with people in them I try to capture the snapshot of a story.

The insurgent took a lot of cutting and sculpting to mix together different kit parts. I really wanted in the diorama to focus on the ground. It might sound strange, but I notice the ground tends to be pristine in dioramas, so I took care to add various pieces of trash to make it more lived in, as well as making the pathway’s dirt texture noticably different than the surroundings.

      He’s mostly from this kit but his legs are from a similar kit and with the posing I had to fill them in with a lot of greenstuff. I also had to sculpt around the arms because the kit looked pretty rough.
