The title is pretty misleading. Not only is it taken out context, warping the emphasis, this is actually said by another person, to which Trump replied “yes, yes”.

Don’t take me wrong, it’s still a pretty terrible thing to say/agree with, but not at all what the title implies.

Title doesn’t really imply it, it says it, in quotes, with his name right there saying “Trump on…:” it is an actual lie. And it’s frustrating because the dude says enough dumb ass shit that they can cover they don’t have to make it up ruining that validity of the media when they say negative Trump things. Hell, they could say Trump: “Yes Yes” after someone says “XYZ” pretty much says the same thing, but they aren’t a liar.

It is exactly what the title implies. “Yes, yes” is agreement, and those words are what Trump believes. Or claims to believe, assuming he has the brains to believe anything at all.

Except you used quotation marks to intentionally mislead users.

Either the title should be edited, or this post this should be removed.

It amuses me what offends some folks — oh my, the quotation marks — and what doesn’t. Ta-ta, though, and keep clutching those pearls.

Your title doesn’t just imply but clearly portrays this as a direct quote from Trump. "Trump on [topic]” followed by double quotes doesn’t leave much room for imagination.

The distinction between saying the words and saying “Yes, yes” is nada to me, so I guess I’ll never make the team at the New York Times.
