Acclaimed animator and director Hideaki Anno, best known as the creator of the Neon Genesis Evangelion franchise, has suffered a leg injury that has left him hospitalized. He will now spend some time recuperating, with all upcoming scheduled appearances being canceled as a result.

I hope he gets better and takes time to rest. This guy has been working like, nonstop his whole adult life. Take some time off Anno, you earned it.

Just rewatched all of Evangelion this month too. Always wonder what was going on in Anno’s brain when he wrote it lol.
