So I came across this Browser, it’s Firefox based, has some useful features and disable the telemetry by default. The privacy policy seems good to. It is still in alpha but I was curious if anybody knows anything about the project that would speak against it privacy wise?

What do you mean by “without proprietary bs”?
Floorp has/had some proprietary components. These were source available (not open source) at one point, but the repo has been archived and the official flatpak is still marked as proprietary, however firedragon (a floorp fork) still uses the source available components and other forks remove them entirely (although this results in missing features). Overall the whole thing seems pretty sketchy and if you currently use floorp I’d switch to firedragon or wait until this project matures unless you trust floorp completely.

That’s a shame. Thank you for letting me know.
Their privacy policy says this
5.2. Do Not Track
Zen Browser automatically honors “Do Not Track” requests by default. We ensure that no tracking of your activity occurs, in compliance with this setting
DNT is voluntary, no one respects it, it makes you stand out, and is a known tracking vector.
I like it. It looks nice, has some unique features and is based on Firefox. But because it’s still alpha I won’t use it as my main browser but will keep an eye on a project and once it’s more polished I will consider switching.
