Sadly not on steam, available through their website DRM free which is nice. But not really what I want.

Oh is it a timed epic exclusive? I don’t mind waiting in that case, too many games to play anyway. Excited to give this a go at some point though.

Unsure. From the way they word it on their website it doesn’t sound that way:

Why is it on Epic and not on Steam?

World of Goo 2 would not exist if Epic had not helped us fund the game! We were able to hire artists and engineers for multiple years to help us build the biggest game we’ve ever made. We’re grateful for this! You’ve likely seen similar arrangements with other games, and I imagine ours is comparable.

If you don’t use Epic, that’s ok. You can always get World of Goo 2 right here on this page, DRM-free, for Win / Mac / Linux. Just scroll up there. And if you have a Nintendo Switch, you can get it on the eShop directly on your device.

After your purchase on their site you get directed to Humble Bundle. I did not see it on my list of purchases, but I was able to download it using the link I received right after purchasing via my email.

Yeah no shade to the devs at all, seems like it’s worked out well, let them release a better product and they’ve even provided a non epic option which is great. I just know I’m much less likely to play if it’s not in my Steam library because it’s so convenient.

Can anyone tell me what kind of game this is? It looks cool but I never played the first one and the trailer didn’t really give me any idea what type of game it is.

Well the first one was a very causal puzzle game. Similar to polybridge but very easy and in real time. I remember it more for the the asthetic, art and music than the gameplay, but that was fun too.
