Hey man, it’s not cool calling people names. The rules are fairly simple, be kind and civil, and don’t be rude. Take this as your first warning, 2 more strikes and you’re out.
I think like with any zero-cost thing, there going to be a long tail phenomenon where there are many many MANY low population/sales/user/usage items.
Be it music streaming, book sales, subreddits, communities, FB groups, blogs, flickr photos… basically where there’s no (tangible) cost of inventory/hosting/storage/production.
The upside is that almost everyone can find a niche. Even if it’s a small niche.
Mods should have some control and rationalize them.
This really depends on the goals of the platform. Do they want to spend the time deleting 2-person communities when it doesnt bother anyone (except maybe you)? What is the philosophy of the platform’s owner?
I’m pretty sure he’s talking about my community which does not have a retarded name at all. He doesn’t have to worry for long because I’m gonna block him. He sounds obnoxious.
Ah yes. I’ve seen these kinds of overblown comparisons before. It’s always depressing how people tend to not realise how languages and words have colloquialisms amongst societies, where words don’t always carry the same meaning.
I’m not going to follow it. The point is at least there should be some sort of professionalism and order. Name it Cats, Kucing, Oyen, or something like that at least. What’s to stop anyone spamming communities with silly names?
You’re welcome to start your own community (which you already did), but please don’t make unkind remarks about others. No one here should have the right to gatekeep community names and what they deem to be “stupid” communities.

well that’s not very nice.
Just don’t subscribe to a community if you do not like it I guess? You can apply to be a mod when we have a call for it some time down the line.

Sooner or later we gonna see our first ban hammer.
so exciting hue hue

Also, the phrase “retard” is ableist. It’s as bad as a racist saying “nigger”. I would warn him if I’m a mod.

Click the community, click the sidebar, click the “block community”
Problemo solved.
This is a community forum, there’s no “professionalism” needed.

Gadoh, jangan tak gadoh
