I did night shift security for over a decade. I’m genuinely surprised the guard was fired for this. Every guard does shit like this. I used to bring a PlayStation and full size TV to work, plug it and a box fan into an inverter (or long ass extensions cord) in my car, and play video games all night. Also used to bring a hot plate and cook full meals at work.
Not that surprising really. You don’t get fired for the donuts, you get fired for the social media post of you doing the donuts. People need to stop clout chasing.

But for real, if you ever need a very low effort night shift job, try out security. 90% of the time you’re there so the client gets an insurance discount. Excellent for getting paid to do nothing, catch up on reading, or doing online school or something.
