Just finished the game on PS3 a few months back, sloughing through the barren multiplayer landscape for the trophies, and then they announced this 🥲 Would be easier access for new players to one of the best game of the previous generation
Looking forward to revisiting at a reduced price but still cant help but feel a bit letdown with this just being a port. With RDR2 having so much of the RDR1 map built in it and having it already be 5 years since that launched I was hoping/expecting for a remake or even a remaster of it in the RDR2 engine.
Still, if you’ve never played the game before and have any interest this is a must play.
Yeah would’ve preferred a remake but this hopefully puts it on par with the Xbox upscaled version you get to play on Xbox One X/series.
As much as I would have preferred a remaster or remake, at least they aren’t forgetting about undead nightmare. Hopefully this also means a PC release is on the way eventually.
For a long time the rumour was that RDR couldn’t be re-released because the code was a spaghetti mess. So if they managed to clean it up for both PS4 and Switch, I hope it means PC port would be possible now
That’s what I was thinking. Fingers crossed. I’ve already beaten it so a mere port won’t get me to buy it. Either a remake or at least a PC port so I can mod it.
I wonder if the frame rate would be locked to 30 FPS, it’d be so fucking stupid if it did.
Can Rockstar at least optimize a performance mode for PS4 Pro or am I expecting too much from this company 🙂
