    There’s no mention of why this scientist thinks there’s a “death sentence” for two thirds of humans, as opposed to the more common prediction that the consequences of climate change will be severe but not apocalyptic. On the contrary, the discussion of small island nations (whose plight is serious for themselves but almost inconsequential on a global scale) seems like something one might bring up if one didn’t have more catastrophic consequences to talk about.

    Terrible source/article, but aside from the sensationalist headline, for many of the people affected it is only a death sentence if we prevent them from leaving these soon to be inhospitable areas.
