Ron is also funny in the movies, but more in a “comic relief” sort of way. Too many of his strengths were reassigned to Hermione.

      Clockwise from top left:

      • DH, chapter 19 (perhaps not the best example, as Ron did not seem fond of camping…)
      • DH, chapter 32 (“And that’s the second time we’ve saved your life tonight, you two-faced bastard!”)
      • PoA, chapter 6 (Hippogriff CoMC lesson in the forest)
      • Unspecific, but probably post-Lavender.

Though in the books he is also an insecure asshole to harry and hermione again and again - until he comes around this in Deathly Hallows. Its basically rons character arc to overcome his insecurities.

All of them have their flaws.

Hermione is vindictive. Kidnapping and blackmailing another person in book 4, being rude to Luna when she meets her, getting mad at Harry when he gets the Prince’s book and gets better than her at potions.

Harry’s biggest flaw is his impulsiveness, which leads to the events at the end of book 5.
