Hey everyone, I just wanted to provide a big announcement that Thunder is now available on the App Store! This includes compatibility with iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch (apparently), and Macs using Apple Silicon
The direct link to the App Store listing is here: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/thunder-for-lemmy/id6450518497. As this was just published, it may take some time to show up within your country/region so if you do not see it yet, try again later!
The App Store version will follow the same version as Google Play and will be used for general releases. The TestFlight version will now be used for nightly/pre-release builds. Again, I’ll try to keep all the versions in sync with one another, but there may be slight delays in processing times due to the different platforms.
Thunder is a community-driven project, and all your contributions towards the project help shape the way it is. If you are interested in contributing to Thunder in any way, feel free to reach out!
If you would like to join in on the conversation for Thunder, we have a Matrix page here: https://matrix.to/#/#thunderapp:matrix.org
If you would like to check out the GitHub page, it is linked here: https://github.com/thunder-app/thunder
Agreed. I really like the UI and it stands out among the rest that look like different variations of the same layout. It does lag behind the competition a bit with features and stability, but I’m sure it will catch up pretty soon.
What features would you like to see in upcoming releases? Definitely check out the GitHub page and post bugs/feature requests, it’ll help make the app even better!
I’ll come up with a list and post there. I’ve been submitting feedback via testflight. Do you check those as well?
Btw, please don’t take what I said as a negative. I love the app and am excited to see it grow and just get even better. Thanks for all your hard work!
Hey! Thanks for checking out Thunder :D I try to look at feedback from TestFlight whenever I can, but it’s much harder to go through them than it is on GitHub.
I think the best way to get visibility on feedback is to post it directly to GitHub since that’s where I spend most of my time filtering and looking at suggestions/issues
Will do! Thanks for all your hard work! I realized my other reply wasn’t to you.
Ah, I’m more of an enthusiast than a developer, hahah. Been happy to support and discuss project related things with darklight and the rest of the devs :) we’re all here because we love Thunder!
Yeah I realized when the actual dev replied. lol. But yes, Thunder is great!
