Have you noticed that Sarah always uses filters when interacting with her youngest? It seems like the child communicates with her through the screen, addressing the filtered version of her mother on the phone rather than in person. It’s an interesting dynamic, and I wonder how it might impact the child as she grows up. 🤔 I’m referencing this stories post.

This is such a good point. L is never looking right at Sarah, she’s always looking at the phone, much like how Sarah doesn’t even look at her real self. Such a sad life all around.

This is why I wish that poor girl was at preschool this year. She NEEDS away from Sarah and even NK filming her. I can’t believe Shane is so spineless and didn’t put his foot down on L going to preschool this year to interact with other kids, get enrichment and be away from their home bubble. She deserves more than being filmed and going shopping every day.

I don’t think he cares and I don’t think he has any say in anything. He strikes me as someone who would be quite content to wake n’ bake and hang on the couch all day.

I don’t have kids so I’m not familiar with any of this, but do other parents also not start their kids when they’re supposed to? I assume there would be various reasons for this to happen of course. But in L’s situation I feel like what she really needed was to start becoming immersed and making friends her own age

In Ontario kids start the year they turn 4. She could still do preschool or EarlyON programming though. It’s even free.
